Customer Obligations
The Customer must:
only install the products using the services of a professional, licensed automotive electrician
follow all instructions and guidelines set by Odyssey or the manufacturer, including any installation guides and care and maintenance guides
avoid using harsh chemicals, or chemicals not recommended by Odyssey or the manufacturer, when cleaning or maintaining the products; a
use the products beyond its design limitations, or for purposes for which it is not designed – such as motorsports.
Warranty
Odyssey warrants its products for three years from the date that you place the Order for the goods. If, during the warranty period, our products:
are not of an acceptable quality – such as a fault;
is not fit for the purpose that you have disclosed to
do not match the description of the product on our Website,
you may report such failures to us in writing within forty-eight (48) hours after discovering such defects.
After notifying us of your warranty claim, we may then send you an email with a Return Authorisation Number, at which time you may then return the product in accordance with our Returns Policy.
Assessment of Warranty Claim
Depending on the nature of the issue, Odyssey may need to inspect the item. Odyssey’s technicians will inspect the products to determine the cause of any such defect. If, after inspection, Odyssey determines that the warranty claim is to be upheld, then:
we will, at no cost to you, repair or replace the product, with an identical or similar, compatible product;
deliver the repaired or replacement product at no cost to you;
reimburse your postage fees incurred as a result of returning the product back to us.
Exclusions
We will not cover any failure as that has been caused in whole or in part by:
fair wear and tear;
neglect or abuse;
unauthorised repairs, modifications or disassembly;
cosmetic wear and tear such as fading or discolouration including due to environmental exposure;
chemical exposure including use of chemicals not recommended by the manufacturer or Odyssey;
accident, contamination or physical damage;
failure to install or remove the product in accordance with the relevant installation guide;
failure to install or remove the product using the services of a licensed automotive electrician;
use of incorrect voltage or wiring;
use of the product beyond its design limitations, or for purposes for which it is not designed;
maintenance, overhaul, repair, installation or storage otherwise than in accordance with Odyssey’s or the OEM’s recommendations and guidelines;
failure to follow care instructions including relating to chemical exposure or use of prohibited chemicals
use of the product
in conjunction with any custom or modified applications
on any illegal highway, marine, industrial or commercial use;
in competition or motorsport events of any kind
use in conjunction with any counterfeit parts or parts which are not supplied by Odyssey, or which are not compatible with the product, including brackets or wiring;
continued use of the product after the defect has become apparent or would have become apparent to a reasonably prudent user.
Returns Policy
We do not ordinarily offer refunds if you change of mind. In our discretion, we may offer a “change of mind” refund.
If we agree to provide you with a “change of mind”, it will be subject to you paying for return shipping, the goods being returned to us within 7 days of receipt by you, the goods being complete and in their original packaging (including individuals bags and wrapping inside), being in saleable condition without discount, and you paying (or being deducted from funds refunded) a 10% restocking fee.
If your “change of mind” return does not meet the requirements above, we will either return the item to you at your cost, or will agree to a different restocking fee.
Only conditions of entitlement to full refund are Customers who:
received the wrong product are entitled to a full refund; or
ordered a product that is sold-out are entitled to a full refund.
Any refunds (or part thereof) will be paid to the credit card or the through the payment gateway with which you made your purchase.
Return postage is at the customer’s own expense unless the product is deemed as faulty.
How do I return a product for exchange or refund?
If you wish to return a product for any reason, please follow these steps below:
Submit a request via our online form located at [URL] or contact us at sales@odysseyx.au stating your reasons as to why you would like to return the products
We may, if the reasons for your return of the products are one of the reasons for which we would accept a return, provide you with a Return Authorisation Number as well as the return address to send the products.
Pack all products within secure packaging and ensure that all boxed products are enclosed in a satchel for protection or their return may be refused. Please also ensure that the Return Authorisation Number is clearly marked on the package.
Send the products through Registered Post as we are not liable for lost undelivered return parcels. We further advise that you request proof of postage from the Post Office for your records.
We will only cover the cost of postage on a return if we agree to replace or repair your product under warranty in accordance with our Warranty Policy.
Assessing the Return
Return product/s will be assessed and we will notify you if your return has been accepted. Product/s which do not satisfy this Return Policy will not be accepted and will be returned to you at your expense.
